Ride the Train

Take an authentic narrow gauge railway tour through almost 100 acres to discover the history and future of Kauai agriculture. Once you board the “King Kalakaua style” wooden cars at the historic station in Kilohana camp you’ll begin an informative 40 minute ride through working fields with crops of sugar, pineapple, banana, papaya, coffee, tropical flowers and hardwood trees that illustrates the story of agriculture on Kauai yesterday and today.


Book your trip across time on the Kauai Plantation Railway. Reservations can be made by phone, online or at most concierge and activity desks on Kauai.

Driving Instructions
Located at Kilohana on Kaumualii Highway – Route 50
Approximately one-mile south of Lihue

From North and East Shore: Drive west on Kuhio Highway (51) towards Lihue, connect to Kaumualii Highway and drive past Kukui Grove Shopping center. Turn right at the entry to Kilohana. The train depot is the last red roofed build and the end of the parking lot.

From South and West Shore: Drive east on Kumualii Highway past the Kauai Community College. Turn left into the entry of Kilohana. The train depot is the last red roofed build and the end of the parking lot.
